The 2026 Denver Tag Team Poker Tournament will be hosted by Olde Town Tavern on Tuesday, April 14th at 7 pm. 2 player teams will compete for a ‘Winner Take All’ $250 prize. There is no buy-in for the tournament, players are just asked to purchase food or drinks at venue and to tip the servers and dealers for their time.
The tournament will be no-limit, Texas Hold’em. Depending on the # of teams that compete, teams will begin the tournament with both team members playing for the 1st set of blind rounds, with their chip stacks combined for the remaining rounds, with the team members alternating play every blind round. (if there are too many teams for the # of tables, then teams will share a starting chips stack and will alternate play starting with the initial blind round).
Players can earn bonus chips for their team’s starting stack by winning any of the 11 Denver Region RMPV weekly tournaments that are held at: Olde Town Tavern (Arvada), The Beer Depot (Denver), The Berkeley Inn (Denver), Midtown Pool Club (Denver), Westminster Brewing Company (Westminster), Mad Rabbit Distillery (Westminster), Press Play Bar (Boulder), 3’s Bar (Longmont), The Rusty Melon (Erie), Dillingers Bar & Grill (Lafayette), Henry’s Bar (Louisville).
Individual players can also come to Olde Town Tavern the night of the tournament and they will be paired with other individual players to make a team.
